The Institute makes available 1 certification route to qualified candidates who are interested in earning the Certified Legal Marketing Specialist™ credential in any of the available specializations.

Accredited Course Route

To qualify for this route, a certification candidate must complete an accredited course delivered directly by the Institute, an accredited training provider, an academic partner, or through our eLearning portal. These courses are identified by a unique course code and are associated with a specific credential offered by the Institute.

The Certified Legal Marketing Specialist™ – Social Media Marketing covers step by step how to develop a social media strategy to build an audience, share content, build an online reputation, and bring more clients to their law firms.

The Certified Legal Marketing Specialist™ – Content Marketing covers step by step how to develop a content marketing strategy (in different formats and through different platforms) to build an online audience, build authority, and bring more clients to their law firms.

The Certified Legal Marketing Specialist™ – Branding covers step by step how to develop a branding strategy to build an online reputation, build trust and share your vision, mission and values to your potential clients.

The Certified Legal Marketing Specialist™ – Search Engine Optimization covers step-by-step how to develop a search engine optimization strategy to rank their law firm's website as high as possible in search results.

How can you earn your CLMS certification and badge

Step 1: Request your LDMI ID

The LDMI ID serves as a unique identification code assigned by the Institute to applicants, members and certified professionals with the objective of identifying them across the different Institute’s products and services.

Step 5: Pay the certification fee and get certified!

The certification fee is already included when you take an accredited course that qualifies for the CLMS certification.

Step 2: Choose your certification route

The Institute makes available 1 certification route for qualified candidates who are interested in earning the Certified Legal Marketing Specialist™ credential.

Step 3: Complete an accredited course

To apply to any of the CLMS specializations you must take and complete an accredited certification course delivered by the Institute, an accredited training provider, an academic partner, or through our eLearning Portal.

Step 4: Apply for the CLMS certification

Once you complete the corresponding accredited certification course, your CLMS certification will be issued to you automatically through the Certifier platform.
